Hey guys,

Building my 1st lower right now, and waiting for the parts to arrive for the fixed stock I purchased. Got a dumb question, now that I'm comparing what I've got to my other rifle. What is the difference between a mid or rifle length stock and a carbine stock?

I've got a 16" bull upper, and it just dawned on me that the new upper will also be carbine length. I was planning on putting an A2 stock on the lower, but now I'm questioning whether or not that's possible. Does anyone see a problem with the gun cycling with it? Thanks!

You can put a carbine (collapsible) stock on a rifle length gas system & vice-versa. Just make sue you use the rifle buffer & spring with the rifle/fixed stock & carbine buffer spring with the collapsible stock (regardless of gas system length)

Much thanks. I wasnt sure if there was a difference between the springs / plungers. If i had the parts in front of me for comparison i suppose i wouldn't be asking these questions.. Thanks again.
