Just recently finished a J&T 20" standard A2 kit.  I did not upgrade the rear sight when I ordered it, so I assumed it had a standard military rear sight.

I read somewhere that the standard A2 military rifles have 1.4 minute elevation resolution on the rear sight.

I did some measurements on mine, and I calculate something closer to 1.0 minute resolution.

Can anyone tell me what a stock A2 would have and what my kit probably has?

What should the front sight be?

Thanks.

Does your elevation knob have markings "8/3 4 5 6 7"?  or "0 5 10 15 20"?  Mine has the latter which is apparently National Match style, and I got it from Model1 and did not specify NM (though they didnt give an option either).   The numbers on mine mean "clicks" and not "hundreds of meters".  I'm trying to figure out if this means each click is 1 MOA

Mine is marked with the 8/3.

Found several different sources that give different accounts of this.  Some say standard A2 rear sight elevation is 1.5MOA and others say 1.0MOA.
