I'd like to pick one up if they function reliably.

Buy with confidence. I have one and it functions better than my right handed non-Stag does. Stag is a very well made rifle, and the left-handed version is no exception. To add to that, if you want to have a free float rail, go ahead and get the model 2TL. The Samson rail is excellent and it is less money than adding on something later.

I don't have one personally but my brother-in-law does and it works great.

No worries, mate. I your left handet's the way to go. A high quaility rifle that shoots great. My wife is the lefty, who started out on my regular right handed AR and didn't really enjoy shooting the AR except in .22 version, until she shot her Stag.

here is my left handed stag porn. it's a Stag 2TL w/
Magpul MIAD
Magpul CTR
Surefire M900a
Eotech 557
Blackhawk single point sling plate

quality is top notch. i trust my life to my rifle. only thing is though about the left handed rifles is that you will have to buy a left handed specific bolt. only retailer for these is Stag. also, the barrel is a 1/9 twist rate, i would personally prefer 1/7....but oh well, just cant shoot 75g and up. still damn accurate with 55g ammo.
