Are these  lowers any good?

Who builds them?

I was told by a guy at Coal Creek Armory that they were made by the same foundrey as Colt, is this true?

Should I buy from Coal Creek Armory?

Will a incorrectly assembled lower cause a gun to blow up?

Another gun shop guru at a competing shop said that if it was measure out correctle it would blow up, is that even possible? Or is he just trying to get me to buy one of his assembled lowers?

Thanks for the help.

I used a stag lower on my first build it functions perfectly. Not much danger of lower blowing up the upper is where the bang goes.. Someone pulling your leg.

I have built three ARs on the striped Continental Machine Tool/Stag Arms lowers.  I am very happy with the results and price.  None of the have kaboomed on me.

Did my first build with a Stag Arms, and loved it.  Fit and finish same as a Rock River Arms (as far as I could tell with them setting right next to each other).  Never seen a lower blow up.

As I understand it, Continental Machine (Stag Arms) makes the lowers that are sold under a variety of well known and respected brand names, and the deal that Eagle Firearms has on them is a real deal!  I have made several purchases from Eagle Firearms, Chris is a really good guy to do business with, I bought my stripped lower from him, mailed the paperwork from the dealer on Tuesday, and I had the lower in my hands the next Monday, excellent service!

I have 2 on the way from Eagle. They have great service, and I was told I'd have sequential serial numbers. Pretty cool.

Got a Stag lower, still needs guts, but looking at that one and my RRA lower, identical. It's nice, worth the money.  Get it from Eagle Firearms.

Never beleive a local shop too much.  Especially if you are hinting about buying else where.  They'll always try to sway to buy from them.  Asking question is one thing, but don't make it too obviouse.  The other thing you have to factor into is the cost of the transfer.  Some FFL dealers will charge anywhere from $10-$75 to transfer a 'firearm'.  Pawn shops that sells guns can do transfers.  Ask.  (The place I go to just went from $10 to $25 since the other place quit doing transfers and one place is asking like $50.00-$75.  Different topic issue.)
