I found some SA battlepacks available. They are in clear plastic. Don't know if this is the same as the stuff that was in the brown package. They said it's boxer primed and non corrosive. I paid $52.99/300. That's more than before but still under $.20/rd even with the shipping which was only $7.00 for 2 battlepacks. Link below.

That puts it at $166.50/1000, which is not a great price. I can pick up new Q3131A at the gunshow for  about $170-180.

It's good stuff, but not worth $166.50/1000 in my opinion. The Sportsman's Guide deal, if they do come through September 22nd, is much better. I paid ~$120/1000 including shipping. Let's hope they come through....

[Edited 'cause I still can't spell right on the first pass]

Guys,

http://www.sportsmansguide.com/cb/cb.asp?a=44716

Has South African PMP brand .223 cal. for $69.97 for 600 rounds, so 1200 rounds would be 139.94, and if you use one of their discount codes and their shipping cost would be a wash, which means free shipping for 1200 rounds for 139.94.

Now that's what I call cheap.

Guys you may want to try Georgia Arms for Ammunition!  I have had no trouble with this ammo, very accurate for around $75.00 per 500 rounds.  They have a lot of other options of ammo too....  you may want to do a search and check them out!  Their service has been great!
Thanks,
BearMan

looks like to many "pre orders" were placed at the SG and their future order is already sold out.  Me and the guys barely got our orders in before they stopped taking them.....

Sportsman guide still has the tubs available, but they'll kill you on the shipping.  The preorders apparently sold all the individual battle packs.  Some of you might look at going in half with one of your buddies and splitting the order.  Glad I got mine in a couple of weeks ago (still wasn't as cheap as it used to be)

There was a vendor set up at the gun show in Mobile today that had the 300 round SA battle packs for $44.95 each.  He had about 20 battle packs all together.
