I took my pre-Bushmaster Carbon-15 out to site in a scope and it would not chamber a new round after firing one. I had to pull the charging handle to get a new round chambered. My buddy was a big help telling me he liked my bolt action rifle. After a while, it would chamber rounds sometimes. After taking the rifle apart, I found the socket head screw head had broken off. Had to drill a hole in the stump left in the bolt, but it wasn't hard to remove with an easy out. I have two new screws coming from Bushmaster to fix it. This rifle hasn't had more than 1,000 rounds through it. My question is, is this just a fluke that a bad screw was used or did Carbon-15s made by P.O. have a reputation for doing this?
TIA'
