I'm basically just wondering which ones to buy for my new 5.45 (no pics, in transit)

Do the c-products/asc magazines work now?  I remember them having a lot of issues a few years ago

I know midway has the stoner mags and aim has asc, any other places I should look?

www.44mag.com has a good selection at good prices. You might check CDNN too.

Thanks,

Mark

I've got some of the new C-Products Defense mags on order, we'll see. Testing the waters.

I have 6 c-product mags from cdnn I got last year and all have worked fine.  I've been through 800 round so far.  Just oil them when you first get them and they will load easier.

From what I've seen the ASC branded mags have the best quality control out of the bunch.

Between my buddy and I we have used over 50 mags, all flawless.

Well I received my AA upper today and the mag that it came with had an ar stoner floor plate and an asc anti tilt follower

No word yet if the cdnn 'c-products' or the midway usa arstoner mag's are the new asc built ones but I'm assuming they are

I've read that pmags work but you can't load too many?

Old USGI mags with the black followers work loaded to 25 rounds.

We ran another 1000 rounds this afternoon through 35 mags, all ASC.

Once again they all performed flawlessly less a missed BHO every now and then.

I've tried with M-revisions windowed and non-windowed and after several rounds (about 6,7,8) the nose dips too much. Others though have had good luck with thoise

I bought 5 ASC mags from AIM when they had them in stock and all worked flawlessly so far (~200 rounds total) in a spikes upper 1st time out last week.

Only issue was FTF on about 6 rounds total (russian surplus). All but 1 fired on the 2nd try. Standard trigger spring that came with a spike's LPK.

I'm going to bob the hammer and see if that helps out before going to a heavier hammer spring.

To use the Rev M windowed Pmags, you have to modify the follower to have play on the front by cutting it down almost even with the bottom of the floor where the shell rests.

+1 on this. My S&W upper runs 100% with this combo.

I recently picked up a couple from Hamlund Tactical.  Their shipping is free over $150 and a flat rate $6.50 otherwise.

ASC Mags

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to test them and let you guys know how they work.  I just bought them to include with the upper I am selling because I decided I didn't want to branch out to yet another caliber.
