[ARCHIVED THREAD] - So what all can be thrown on an AR15? Trying to make a list of goodies...

Trying to see what all can be added to trick out a rifle. Talkins 'bout external stuff that isn't needed for the rifle to function (RIS, etc.)

I can come up with:

Light
Laser
Bipod
Sling
Vertical grip
Mag clamp (not really part of the rifle...)

...what else?

Aimpoint or equivalent
Silencer
Scope

That's about all I can think of other than what you've already mentioned.

There is a shit load of stuff that can be hung on the platform.

Of course, the real questioin is, "What do you want to do with it?"

Depending on the answer to that, the answer to the other may be "nothing."

FALARAK's photo is a great one. All he left out were the wheels (because of the weight, of course).

Most of my AR's are naked (no accessories). Except I do have an M4gery with an Aimpoint, other than that its naked too...

I usually follow the KISS methodology. Besides, this leaves me with mo' money to buy other guns and AMMO
