So, what if I screw on a tube length to my 6P and install three (3) lithiums with the original bulb?  Did it and it seems MUCH brighter...I imagine the bulb won't take much and burn out, correct?  Can I just install a 9V bulb to acomodate the added volts?

Asking the light and laser crew......

It's a miracle you didn't pop the 6v lamp; you definitely need to be using the P90/91 lamps.
