I am looking for the website where I can build an AR upper to spec and have it built. I do not remeber who it was who is doing this- I think it is smartgunner, but I could be wrong. Seemed like the builder used DD Rails and had good prices.

Maybe somebody could help me find it?

It was smartgunner selling DD uppers, but the sale is over, ended on new years day.

Tomorrow is the last day for orders at this pricing under this program!

We NOT be taking any additional orders after tomorrow midnight for custom uppers for the next few weeks. With our inability to effectively communicate and the backlog of orders currently in the system it does not benefit either us or Daniel Defense to continue to add to the problem.

We are going to take the month of January (at the very least until after SHOT) to revise the process and complete the existing orders as quickly as possible.

It is our hope that as part of the revamp we will again be able to offer pinning services among other custom options as well as a new offer around complete rifles.

And of course, we will be implementing a better line of communication with our customers to whom we are grateful and have been sorely mistreated.

Well...that settles that.

Sorry you missed out. I was able to get my order in the 28th but I won't be seeing my upper for another 2months or so. We'll see which shows up first, the upper or my SBR stamp

Any word on when he will be re-listing the uppers.  Speaking with him in early Jan.  He is definitely going to be continuing the custom built uppers but not with the same pricing.  Has anyone spoken to him since shot and have any idea of the estimated time 'till restart?

It's been very difficult to get in touch with him so I doubt anyone knows. He is just so busy with the backlogged orders, more calls/emails aren't going to help.

Your best bet is to keep an eye on his industry section and I'm sure it'll be posted there when the deal is back.

Yes, as stated previously, it was Smartgunner. I received my upper on Christmas Eve. Here's a pic of one of the many options. Hopefully it's offered again for those who missed it.
