Is the GGG the same size as the KAC?  I want the shortest one possible for a 10.5 project.  I saw the "Wes chopped" Dieter, but am still looking.

I bought the $9.99 cheapo from cdnninvestments.com and chopped off 2 inches.Works well with intertube and surefire pressure switch.

How did you finish off the bottom after the cut?  Any pics?

You could get the ARMS throwlever pistol grip and cut and dremel/sand the cut to round and you would hae a pretty short grip.

The angle might help you keep a hold on it too.

But I would recommend some kind of safety measure like a wrist or maybe a thumb loop lanyard as in full auto the 10.5's have some recoil and if you lost the grip your hand would be pretty close to the muzzle.

I just use a complete KAC grip.  It isn't that small that it is concealable anyway. That's the job of the OLy arms OA96.

I'm leaning toward the regular KAC grip.  I've shot this upper on some Uncle Sam M4s with the KAC and it was very controllable semi and full, not that I'm a big full auto guy.  Not much practical use for it although its fun. (especially with taxpayer ammo!)

Go here:  ACE.  Scroll to the bottom and you will see a MP5K style grip for the AR.

Thanks, looks nice.  Anyone used the ACE around here?  I'm surprised I've never seen it.  I like the feel of the HK style.

I got one of the Ace "K style" delrin grips at the SHOT Show. I loved the size and feel of it. Mine broke off at the pic. rail groove pretty quick. I think Delrin is not strong enough for this aplication. It would be awesome if someone would make this same grip in aluminum.

I'm really disapointed hearing about the strength.  I love the shape but really prefer robust, proven designs.  We'll see...
