I've handled the Specter gear slings, the webbing seemed too soft and will bunch and dig in under a load. Who makes a beefier sling? Comments/suggestions?

Wilderness Products make slings with a "beefier" feel. Many here think they are the brand that others strive to be. I like the softer "touch" of specter gear. It is much kinder to my neck and shoulders. However, I dont ever have to sling up with a bunch of gear al la a soldier, marine, HSLD operator, swat officer etc.
As always YMMV.

I like the "TAS-3" from Eagle Industries.

I made the 3 point sling using the directions that that Stickman et al. posted and will never go back to buying slings again from companies. I've got them on my ARs and on an AK. You build it to the exact length and width that you want. Last one I built costed me $7.00 with S&H. Definatly worth trying out before dropping $30-$50.
