Found a cure for the annoying marring of the finish on the sling mounts and slings with the quick release metal buckles ,i have a Troy CQB single point sling and a CQD rear sling mount ,get a product called "Plasti-Dip" it's a multi purpose rubber coating costs about 7 bucks from home depot or lowes i dipped the buckle twice with about 4 hours drying time between dips, the result a hard rubber protective coat that will protect  the finish plus it eliminates the noise of metal to metal contact,also it seems to hold up very well
