Ok, I've decided I have to change to a single point on my M4gery. I've picked the gear sector based on reviews here and now I'm at a delima. I like the Noveske end plate. Simple, out of the way, does the job. My conundrum is that I don't own a stock/spanner wrench. Are the $10 varieties any good or do I need the $60 Brownells wrench? At that price would I be better served going with and over the tube/nut style like the Tactical Link since the wrench will probably never be used again? Opinions? I will add that I don't want to fork out the $$$ for the Tactical Link and I have looked into the Midwest over the tube style but I really like the Noveske. Thanks  in advance.

I didn't want to spend that much for my Z-360 either, but you only pay once for quality!

I have used one of these for several years and it works just fine.

I would also look at Brownells singlepoint end plate while you are there, I have been using these with complete satisfaction and they aren't expensive.

Is the quality of the Z-360 that attaches over the tube actually better than the Noveske end plate? I'm new to dressing up AR's but the ones that attach over the tube seem "iffy" to me.

Thanks on the wrench, I couldn't see the $60 model if I'm not doing this on a regular basis but I didn't want to "booger up" my tube or nut. I looked at that endplate but I like the QD button over the snap hooks for total removal and size.

that's the one I bought from them to install my ASAP. It works just find for occasional use.

I have a couple different CAR wrenches, one of them a very tricky heavy duty version but I find that ten dollar RRA wrench works just fine, even for heavy duty every day use.HTH

It's pretty much indestructible! At the price it is it better be!  Also, if you attach the bolts with blur Loctite, it isn't going anywhere.
