When looking down the muzzle of an (unloaded) Colt A2, which direction do you turn the flash suppressor to remove it? Left/counter-clockwise or right/clockwise? This RH/LH thread stuff isn't clear to the dimwitted me because that would depend whether you are looking down the chamber or muzzle of the barrel.

Will any old wrench do? I'd like to remove an A2 FS and mount an A1 FS. Thanks,

Righty tighty, Lefty loosey (counter clockwise) Any old wrench? Not really - get a wrench that fits correctly and is long enough for leverage. But yes, a good adjustable or open end wrench will work fine(you don't have to buy a special AR FH wrench if that is what you are asking).

yea, that's right. you will want to make up a wooden barrel block and clamp the barrel into a vice. square block of wood with round hole drilled thru and cut length wise.

stick a screwdriver in one of the slots and twist ccw as you look into the muzzle.

mine was a 19mm metric...dont use a screwdriver as it will fu*k up the f/S pretty bad it it was on the barrel tight...
