Are silencers legal now with the sunset of the AWB?

They were already legal in most states. There are steps though to get one.

AWB had nothing to do with the silencer market, only with your semi-auto rifle with the detachable magazine and pistol gripped or other combonation of evil features ability to accept it.

Silencers are regulated under the 1934 law, which covers Machine Gun, Silencer, Short Barrel Rifle and Shotgun, AOW and Destructive Devices (making all mentioned items "Title-2")

In TN, silencers are legal, so find you a dealer and buy 1.

The silencer was never illegal under the AWB, however the threaded muzzle and flash hider effect of a silencer on a post 1994 AR was. Now you can put one on any AR you choose.

THANK ALL of you for the replies. I thought silencers were illegal, but if they are not and are not in TN I am definately getting one.

Can anyone give me a site where I can compare as I know nothing about them, which I am sure is obvious.
