This is the Bushmaster Phantom F/S
I bought it because it makes my 14.5 barrel legal 16
and it is the cat's ass!

I have a 5C1, too, but it's currently in VA with Grant--it's going on a Bushmaster 20" 1:7 with a LaRue 12.0

I have the 5 port Phantom.. won't post b/c it looks exactly the same as that... Got it b/c it hides the flash well, and supposedly doesn't kick up dust when firing prone (not that I ever noticed that problem with my last FS)

I like my Phantom 5C2 because it was cheap and effective. But I think the EGW Comp II is much better.

Is there any difference in performance between the different models?

5C2 on my midlength Denny's barrel.  I think it makes the barrel too long, so may try and A2 from the parts bin on it...

Here it is my M4 with the Phantom flash suppressor , , I choosed it just because not even a single spark come out from it , it is very reliable , a true performer.

no difference in performance in the two 5 series fh

the older on doesnt have the closed bottom so it would produce a signature shooting prone and has more muzzle rise supposedly.

Thanks guys...

For those of you with the "ragged" front end, does it ever get hung up on anything? I can't imagine it would.

Are the phantoms better than the A2 birdcage FS ? or do they both work just as well.
