I want mine to have the rail over the gas port, what length rail and barrel are those? If I put Irons on it the will both be flip ups attached to receiver and rail

Mine is a Larue 12 inch, the entire gas block is covered.  The PRI front sight, has a fake gas tube sticking out about .25 inch.

What gas block did you use for that setup?

is 12 in ches the longest rail system  available? I think I would like less barrel sticking out past the rail, maybe a 14 in barrel wih a comp permanetly fixed on the end would suit my eye more

The closest I have done to something like that is a 14.5 M4 barrel w/Vortex

Wow. I dunno what's more awesome... That, or the LaRue Dissy above!

Big Bore that 14.5 M4 with Vortex is close to what I want but I want a solid rail with no FSB and I want a compensator not a flash hider.  How much would a complete upper like that run? chrome lined barrel M4 or some type of light weight contour, no sights at all.  It will be about 3 weeks before I get my check so I want to make up my mind before then.

That's what I did.  I would post pics but hunt101 has been down for a while now.

825 + the extra goodies wouldnt leave me much to spend on optics,I only get to spend a certain amount of money the rest is going into a mutual fund.  hmm may have to find some side work...... I am not familiar with LMT products only heard things about them here, are their barrels highly accurate?

the length of the barrel should have nothing to do with "accuracy" it has everything to do with velocity which can help in windy conditions but an 11 in barrel cut to the same quality as a 23 in barrel should be just as accurate in static conditions anyways this rifle isnt for accurracy I have bolt guns for that my 16 in RRA upper shoots 3/4 groups thats accurate enough for any kind fo shooting,  anything 2 MOA or under is fine I have just seen some of the LMT prices lately and I wonder why they are so high

will you have any 14.5 barrelled uppers in, in the next few weeks other than LMTS?  something like 14.5" M4 profile from from RRA with a decent compensator permanetly affixed, I need it to make 16" as this will not be a SBR. Does the Daniels Deffense  rail system fit up flush to the receiver?
