The Troy unit is .1oz more but I would have a removable lower rail and continuous upper rail and I could possibly remove the rail system later. This will go on a 14.5" barrel which will have a flash hider welded on so if I go with the FF RAS I cant sawp it out with anything later.
The FF RAS has more if its weight in the barrel nut (further rear) which is good also I am shooting sub MOA with my upper with the FF RAS installed... perhaps I should not mess with a good thing?
I figure I can sell the FF RAS for about $200 and only be out $50 for the new rail system.
What do you guys think?
That's ironic as I'm thinking about selling my MRF-CX and replacing it with a DD 7.0. To me, the MRF seems a tad bit heavy even though it is a very nice fore end.
