I mounted the upper on a Bushmaster lower. The trigger is Jewell 2 stage. Marked off 50 yards behind the house in the back woods and zero at 50yards 1" high. Very accurate and functioned without problems. My sight is Aimpoint and from what Forest said the 50 +1 should give me a 200 yard zero. (Rem 115 gr cartridge)

The Stag upper fit without any slop or wiggle against the lower. Nice and tight. The 16" barrel is a lot more accurate then I thought. I added a H buffer the only change to the lower. The Stag fit and finish looks above average.

Now it feels like a real rifle. Felt good to shoot.

Thanks to all for the valuable information to get started. I'm hooked to the 6.8spc.
(As long we get to keep our rifles in this state after 2007 gun rights fight)

Cool to hear. I still haven't got to fire mine yet. Got to the upper together so at least it isn't a box of parts still.

Should be getting the lower this weekend then it's on!
