After taking the bezel apart in both a surefire 600 and a G-2 the only differance I could tell was that 600 had a flat rubber gasket. Is this all there is to a shock isolated bezel or am I missing something? The lamps looked to be the same?

Both use a P60 or P61 Lamp Assembly. The Shock Isolated Bezels use a Neoprene (polychloroprene) strip as a buffer. The other important difference between a G2 and a 600 Series or "WeaponLight" is that the WeaponLight retains the batteries inside the battery body and does not allow them to move forward against the Lamp Assembly during recoil. Therefore you will not be able to remove the batteries from a WeaponLight via the bezel end. On a G2 (and 6P etc) the batteries can be removed from either end. Al
