I was seriously considering getting a cheaper scope because of my budget. But "Buy cheap, buy twice" kept running through my head.

Hopefully I'll be able to shoot it this weekend. I'll be sure to repost with the report!

It would save a whole lot of weight and make the gun more handy.

I would love to get the weight down! This baby weighs 12lbs loaded! It isn't so bad for plinking, but I'd love to have a govt. profile on this. Unfortunately I don't have much money after the ACOG. How much would it cost from ADCO for example?

Central CT, 15 min from Hartford. I don't want to post any more detailed than that, but IM me if you are looking to hook up for a range day or something.

Steve at ADCO quoted me for $118 for the re-profile. That seems a little steep. The $60 I could go for, but are there any other recommended places to get this done?

12 POUNDS? Wow. You would really benefit from a govt profiled barre. I can't believe it weighs 12 pounds. You got lead in the buttstock?

BTW, very nice looking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
