Lots of Rustoleum sand, earth brown, and black. Flat finish and completed with 5 coats of matte clear enamel.

Nice! I may try something similar but more of a woodland camo since I live in Ohio.

Very nice, inspirational. My wife (very talented artist) has said she would paint one of my ARs. I asked her to use colors so it looks like my Belgian Malinois. Tan, fawn, reddish brown and some black brendal pattern.

Post-apocalyptic? Why?
If properly used, this tool can be used to avert the apocalypse. |

why did you clear it? a high gloss finish kind of defeats the purpose of painting it, doesn't it?

Hope there's plenty of post-apocalyptic batteries available to keep the EOTech operational.

Meh, if you like the paint, who cares what anyone else thinks? I'd still ditch the fake can as well as the laser if it's fake. Unnecessary weight for nothing other than looks. Maybe get a weaponlight as well. Other than that, cool rifle!

i like the IR laser incase you have to call in A10 airstrikes on approaching FSA hoarde.

Looks great but I bet you could have achieved the same appearance by rattling it all tan and beating the hell out of it

It's either fake or a restricted unit (older PEQ-15 or current LA-5). The ATPIAL-C has the safety set screw storage on the ejection port side of the unit, something the OP's does not have. |

ATIPIALs are like $5000 The laser is a legit laser and the LED light is super bright. Why would anyone want/need a real ATIPIAL when you would only gain IR and need NVG to work with it? Functional art meets home protection. :) |

Functional art meets home protection. :) ATPIAL-Cs are nowhere near that much, brother. More like $1,200ish. Some of us have real ones as well as NV to go with them. My one suggestion, if you're actually using this in an HD role, I'd ditch the cheapo light/laser in favor of a more proven/reliable weaponlight. |

Is the suppressor real or not.
Need to know before I render judgement. |

I call the can fake. Look at the slots on the bottom. He is also in Masshole land. No cans or good stuff. I call airsoft. Prove me wrong...
Paint looks not too bad though. |

View Quote I don't think it's airsoft. He posted a while ago before all the mods he has done and it was most definitely an M&P Sport. Don't think they make any airsoft clones of that particular rifle. As for the fake can, I'm pretty sure he can't have a FH in MA. If he didn't want a brake, I can see why he'd go for the fake can if he was going to be stuck with a bare muzzle anyway. About the only thing I'd change on the rifle, OP, would be the addition of a quality weaponlight/ditching the cheapo LAM. Other than that, fuck all the haters. |

Looks good to me.... I have a hard time throwing a rifle down the drive way for no reason. . . but I ain't easy on shit either

Hey all. It is an AR15 M&P Sport, 5.56 and not airsoft. :-)
The ATIPIAL is a clone, but I am going to get a real one because I love the laser and light. That said, it is hard to justify the cost now when the laser and light works fine. The suppressor is a barrel shroud because I am in the communist sate of MA and my barrel is naked with no threads. This is a nice alternative and sort of says F.U. to the powers that be in case they see it and freak out. I am new to ARs and I am building another from scratch (85% done) on an Anderson lower. I always wanted to do a replica, but a real gun that works. Another pic... Post-Apocalypse AR15 1 by Chris Bilodeau, on Flickr Thanks! |
