I got back some unexpected taxes and I want to do my first SBR and get another upper. I want a scopes (1-4x) 16" middy and a 11.5" with my ML3.

My current upper is a BCM 14.5 m4 with a pinned flash. So I am kicking around the idea of either having adco cut it (125$) to 11.5" or just sell it and buy a 11.5" bcm or a 10.5 spikes.

I think you can get at least $250 for your used  barrel. For another $50 or so you should be able to get a brand new BCM 11.5 barrel ($300). Assuming you can rebarrel it for no additional cost, this seems like a cheaper route.

Sell the barrel.

BCM barrels with pinned muzzle devices are in high demand for those that don't want to wait.

For the money you'd get for it, you could get a new stripped barrel with a gasblock and be done with it.  There is now way it will cost you more than 125 out of pocket if you sell that barrel and buy a new one.  Depending on the route you go, you'd probably be able to break even.

I don't have the tools to remove the barrel, but I am more than willing to sell the entire upper if I can get a decent amount for it.

This.

I've played the parts sawp game more times that I can count and it's flat out easier and cheeper to sell whole and buy whole what you want.

Or, just keep what you have and buy what you want. I have regretted selling what I replaced with something new only to realize it wasn't any better than what I already had. Plus there will be a back up if the new thing didn't work out.
