On the inside? Probably won't cause any problems. Have you shot the gun in this condition? If so how did it function and what did the brass look like?

I have shot the weapon before the scratch and after and have had no noticeable change; the brass is undamaged. The scratch is about 1/4" from the inner edge of the chamber. Is this something that will get worse over time?

It shouldn't get any worse.

The real ? is.. how'd it get there in the first place?

I'd be nervous about a 1/16" deep scratch in my chamber. Seems like it's be an ideal place for a weak spot to develop, then a crack, then KABOOM!!

Dude... that's not a scratch, it's a crater!

Thats pretty deep, but I do think about the G3 chambers that are fluted. I might ask someone like ADCO about it, even have them look at it and decide if it is safe...or if it might grow over time. Better to be safe, then to end up with a scar and a story to tell.
