Has anyone ever done a scout scope setup on a AR15?pics...

No pics but my AR 15 A2 Govt Carbine has a scout scope carry handle mount with a trijicon reflex. Bought both items from SWFA.

Also neat because you can still utilize the iron sights without removing unit.

I chose this beacause I wanted the red dot option but like it mounted low.

As a side note i had a bolt gun (Win 70 .308) with a Leopold 2.5x scout scope. Got rid of it because it offered no real advantage.

At short range the scope was no advantage and at longer range the 2.5x was not enough.

My final assesment was it was akin to buying a truck/SUV with a really small bed. Seems like a good idea on paper but function wise your limited in both directions
