Will a DPMS AR10 A2 type buttstock fit a S&W MP10 lower? Thanks for any help. Larry

yes along with the buffer tube and 308 buffer.

Thanks. Not crazy about the collapsable stock. Larry

Before you go too deep, yes they fit, BUT you need a spacer from S&W to deal with the length differences in the recoil system. Easy and cheap, but mandatory.

Thank you. I am probably confused, but I understood that I would only need the S&W spacer if I used the original carbine buffer & spring. As I am using a rifle length buffer & spring with the A2 stock, is the spacer necessary? Thanks again for any help. Larry

Go to the S&W forum in the AR15 Industry section and ask directly. I'm fairly sure you'll need a spacer to go inside the tube to take care of the proprietary recoil length.

I'm of no use, I needed the extra length of the PRS Adjustable. And can't recall using the spacer. But yes it will accept DPMS style furniture.

Just remember that AR15 rifle buffers are longer than most .308 AR rifle buffers, so don't buy any buffer or spring for the AR15 and try to use it in the AR10's.

Thanks everyone, for the help. Went with DPMS A2 tube & stock, S&W spacer and S&W .308 buffer & spring. Will post when together and tested, probably about two weeks.
