Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - S&W 22 magazine compatibility

I have a Tactical Solutions 22 upper and tried a S&W 22 magazine in it the other day.  Ran about 100 rounds through it without any issues.  I was wondering if anyone else has tried this or if there were any adverse consequences to doing this.  Thanks

I've used them with my CMMG conversion in my Colt 6920 successfully.

I have a CMMG .223 lower with a CMMG .22 rimfire dedicated upper on it and my brother has a S&W AR15-22.

The S&W mags will run in my CMMG, but the CMMG mags will not fit into the mag well of th S&W.
IMHO The S&W mags are better looking, cheaper and easier to load, but the CMMG mags are sturdier.

The S&W is an AR look-a-like it is not "Mil. Spec."
