The addapter for the suppressor, how far back down the barrel does it go? Would it be possible to mount on an 11.5inch barrel?

I did not think that Surefire suppressors were ever going to reach civy hands. Surefire suppressors made in Kalifornia. Kali does'nt allow sale of sound suppressors to civis even if they (civis) live in another state. Only for sale to gov agencies?

I must be wrong on this thing.

How do you like the Surefire suppressor? Quiet?

Oh, you are just a @$5^&#_ Yeah, that's right a @$5^&#_... But, that is a great looking set up. I'm now in Texas and if I just didn't have to move every three years...

Spooky

Once again, Denny proves that he has cooler shit than the rest of us.

How'd you get so many units for civilian sales, and when are you going to get some OPS cans?

Looks great Denny! I bet a silencer mounted and set so far back on the barrel like that would look awesome on a 16" M4 carbine. It would help to cut down on the "long barrel look." If you ever get the chance to mount one that way, please post pics. Great job!

Denny,
what are they going to be going for out the door with mount. Also about where will they sit on the recon you did for me with the PRI flip down sight?......................................

I need to move too
Link Posted: 8/9/2005 7:50:48 PM EDT
Nice set up denny.
Link Posted: 8/10/2005 7:53:23 AM EDT
I think what we all would like is to see one mounted on a recon with say maybee a fold down PRI front sight and 9" LARUE, you know like mine ...................

how far back is it sitting on the barrel (i.e. about how much space between the PRI sight and the back of the suppresor when mounted?)

Denny, will advise you in the next day or so as to the conversation we had yesterday. Thanks

Is the flash hider part of the mount? How effective it is?

What kind suppression numbers does it get?

How is the unit so lightweight compared to the Troy?

Does the silencer lock in place somehow... I know it does but is it ohter than the KAC style flash hider?

The silencer indexes in a notch on the bottom of the flash hider. The locking mechanism can be seen plainly in the photos and locks to the back of the sleeve.

Waiting for Denny's real world test, as I've read that the Surefire suppressors were a lot louder than the other top name suppressors (28 dB reduction versus 33+ for most others), not to mention twice the cost.
Link Posted: 9/14/2005 3:14:51 PM EDT
I talked to Denny on the phone and he said the Surefire was noticably louder than the Troy which was the same size. However the Suerfire is a quarter pound lighter.
