I've been trying to read as much as I can on this site about the SPR rifles, but I still have some questions that I can't find the answers to. Maybe I'm just looking too hard and I've missed the answers somewhere.

So is there a really good message thread dealing with these rifles? I can't seem to even find out what caliber & chambers they are using in the real thing. Am I correct in stating that they are the 6.8 mm round?

Sorry if I'm bringing up an old question.

Yes, it's been covered here pretty extensively. You can use the searchfunction or go here:

AFAIK, the SPR is currently only fielded in 5.56 using Black Hills 77 gr. ammo (Mk 242 O and 1).

Thats very impressive, my 14.5 wont even put a 55gr XM193 through 1/2" at 25 yards. Fired from behind cover of course.
