Recommendations for a front sling mount for a 58MOD? I am shifiting from an wilderness tactical sling w/ a QD sling swivel attached to a GG&G retainer in the front sight tower to a PRI folding front front sight. I therfore require a mount to attach to the SIR side rail but prefer to keep the QD feature?

thanks all!

You can do a few things. Use a threaded sling stud and screw it into the #1 panel, same thread pitch/size, that will allow you to use the standard Uncle Mikes swivels. Also the KAC push button or QD sling swivels will allow the same. Or the Dieter with a HK style hook.

Exactly what I want to do but I don't understand how the push button swivel will fit into a threaded aperture in the #1 panel? Please recommend the referred to adapter can be threaded in and will reiceive push button swivel thank you

My error on the KAC. They sell two types, both have bases that clamp onto the 1913 rail. One has a push button feature that allows the user to push a button and release the sling and swivel that comes with the mount(KAC part # 98720). The other one uses a QD stud and QD swivel(more than likely a Uncle Mikes, looks like one)(KAC part # 98721). I have the push button model, also one set up with a sling stud screwed into the #1 rail. Both work just as well. The cheapest way is to get a 2 pack of the sling swivels and a sling stud. Mark
