SIG would be better off with not dicking around and making a 55x

after blowing the pic up it looks to have a Adams Arms or CMMG  "type"  Piston Gas Block. Im in for at least one if it is Piston driven.

I thought SiG was supposed to be working on a 556 upper that would fit onto a standard AR lower.  I think they'd get more mileage out of something like that.

We've seen Taurus announce (and retract) an AR.  Who's next?  Ruger?  Oh!  Wait!

Seems a little late to be getting in the AR market.

I wonder how much they'll want for it.

Called SIGSauer today and customer service kept arguing with me that I was confused and I must be talking about the SIG556, that there was no such thing as a SIG516, told him I own a 556 Classic and several AR15's, he still thought I was talking about the SIG556. I hung up and called back and asked for Scott Rudolf and he advised me the SIG516 was still a Prototype.
Even being a proto I bet the 516 will still get to market before the ACR.

I agree, that's why I traded for the Ruger.

They've got alot of ground to cover with their QC guys before I'll ever even consider them as an AR manufacturer.
