I'm looking at a scstar scope for my AR and I havn't heard of them can any one tell me about them

Never heard of scstar, but I have had NCSTAR...I was surprised of the quality of the 3-9x scope that I had on a budget Mauser .308...

I would buy another one for a budget gun project....
