Just ordered the LE 6920HB from them to go with my LE 6920.  I got it just before they raised the price to $1595.  However, they have Colt LE6920s in stock for $1295.

Good people to deal with though.  Does this model come with any other markings to distinguish it from its lighter brother?  

Just got my LE6920 and am very happy with it.  Don't know about the HBAR.  They were great to deal with.

I just bought a couple of recievers with internals for 350.00 ea. a 6721 and a 6520

250.00 stripped + 100.00 for the .170 pin internals installed

I thought that when the ban expired we would be able to pick these up at normal prices, sounds like price gouging to me. I'm glad I got one when I did and I paid alot less than 1295.00.

Not likely to since Colt is purportedly not going to sell to the civilian market anymore. Ya want a $900 rifle? Get a Bushmaster or RRA. Good luck finding LE model Colts for that amount. Yeah, I tried, many are advertising at around $900-$1000 but you will be on the bottom of the waiting list.  For those that say they can get them in stock, I'd get several if I were you.

One guy (an RRA dealer) laughed at me when I asked to get one for $910 as advertised on his website. Been out of stock since the ban expired. So he tried to do the bait and switch crap on me. Should have told him to f**k off, he should update his website.

Gentlemen the price on the 6920 from distributors to dealers is and was 800.00 to 850.00, that price includes FET, the rest is mark-up.  My guess is it will takes years for some of these dealers to fill an order for more than ten rifles.  The distributors have been sending in orders for up to 200 rifles at a time with a hope of getting half of that number.  How can a dealer expect to receive that many rifles when it appears Colt hasn't stepped up the production.

Please stop posting information that is incorrect.  LEO are not able to purchase without paying FET, only departments are able to get away with that.  Colt has nothing to do with federal law....

Does anybody know if Colt is still producing the LEO6920s, all the dealers I have talked to are saying that Colt isn't even producing these rifles at the present time.  Who's got an answer?

I spoke with Colt last week, they are still producing 6920's not hb's, however, they aren't making the 6920's for civilian orders.

All the LE6920HB's are gone. Maybe they'll order another 300?

What Colt did say is that they wouldn't be offering the LEO guns for the civilian market and that distributors were to sell them to LEO's only.  This has been confirmed with distributors and Colt Customer service.  Its how the distributors are dealing with this that makes the difference.  Some still want letters while others are asking for photo-copies of badges/id's, then will sell the guns to the FFL's, really with no implied obligation as to who ends up with the weapon.

Well actually that was 900.00 plus 30.00 for FET, plus tax, dealer fee ect.  That was also a post that started in August, before the ban expired and if the dealer had the order in right before the ban the cost of the rifles should have been 800.00 fet included.  The only thing that would have been added was state tax and dealer fee.  Since those days are gone look at the prices now, especially those hb's, my guess is those will be produced again.

Only if someone is willing to pony up for a minimum of 300 rifles ordered from Colt. And no, you nor I will  be be able to order from Colt,  only select dealers will be able to. According to SAW, they don't intend to special order any more of these, unless of course an LE agency wanted to buy a couple hundred. It's entirely possible but not likely. HB's have their utility in sustained  full auto fire where the barrel can reach  transition temperature after almost 600 rounds in 3 or so minutes. Something the average Joe SWAT member is not likely to see.  The standard 6920 carbine is up to the task for 99.99% of the LE uses of the weapon.

I believe that Colt has said they don't intend to sell the LE marked guns to civilians, however they may produce a civilian version in the hb configuration and any other style just not with the LE markings.

I only pointed it out to give people an idea of the dealer cost on these things. As far as i know the wholesale price from colt hasnt changed. So these $1200 colts are being marked up close to $400 a pop. And this is for a rifle that is still being manufactured and will not ALWAYS be in limited supply.

Redmenace I agree with you, my complaint with that group purchase was that it was before the ban when the rifles were cheap and even at the price it stated it was way too much.  I'm awaiting my second 6920, the first cost me 850.00 and the second now will be 800.00 and change.  Both are Colt and marked LE.  Most of these guys would do better if they shopped around.  Ask your local dealer, stay away from dealers that have huge orders, they may fill them but it will take some time.  The dealer I found only wants two rifles and is dealing with 4-5 distributors, compared to some dealer wanting near 100 rifles, how can they expect to fill those orders?   In a fair timeframe?

SAW is gouging like a mother fucker.  Ken is great and a wealth of knowledge, but that price if fucking horse shit.

I don't have a problem with people saving up for a gun, however, most dealers will take a percentage of the cost.  The dealer(s) listed want the whole cost down and hold the money if and when they can get the rifles.  That way if the buyer were to ind a better deal, their money is still tied up with the previous dealer...  My 2 cents...
