For those who have them, how do you like your RRA midlength upper?  I'm thinking about getting one.  Choice seems to be Armalite or RRA for a midlength.

I'm also planning on the chrome lined option, and if I go through ADCO, having the barrel turned to Gov't profile under the handguards.  If any of you have done that, please let me know what you think of the balance, and if it has affected your accuracy.  I'm a bit concerned about messing with the barrel harmonics since (as far as I know) ADCO doesn't stress relieve the barrel after machining.

My RRA mid-length upper is great.  I'm very happy with it.   I bought it right from Rock River and installed the PRI sight and DD handguard myself.

check it out

Love mine. Got it from M&A but I'm pretty sure it's a RRA in fact. It's my favorite AR. Great handling. The only way it could be more perfect is if the barrel were 1:12 so I could get decent .22LR accuracy from my M261 in it, but oh well, that's what my DPMS .22 M4 is for, I guess.

Are they offered chrome-lined?

I don't want to steal any thunder from ADCO because I like doing business with them but there's a RRA, mid-length, 1:7 twist group buy going on over on the EE: RRA Mid-length 1:7 twist Group Buy

It looks like 11 more barrels are need to make it happen and the barrels may be stamped with ar15.com for the coolness factor

Not from M&A. ADCO will build you one chome-lined but it'll be a "custom" price, not a kit price--I decided the difference in $$$ wasn't really worth it to me.

Got mine from ADCO.  Love it.  I have a SIR58 on mine and like the handleing.  It's got some weight though and I've thought about havinf it turned down under the handguards, just haven't gotten to it yet.

Sorry about that,  I had problems with my webserver today for some reason.  Obviously a denial of service attack by the ATFE

Let's try again...

Try again

Same here.  Odd guys at a place called ADCO Firearms.  Called them at 12:00 noon one day, and the two rifles I wanted that weren't in stock at the time I called were there in under 1.5 hours for expeditious pickup by yours truly.

One was an Elite CAR A4 with midlength handguard.  Loving it more and more every day.

I absolutely love my midlength. I would suggest anyone to buy one. The balance is better than any other configuration. Mine is a post-ban RRA A3 HBAR 16" midlength.  Will shoot 1 MOA, just as RRA advertises, and frequently much better. If one of you guys is looking for a complete A3 RRA factory upper in great condition I might be able to part with mine since I'm considering getting into the highpower game and I will need a 20 inch NM upper.

I haven't been to the range with mine yet, but I really like the feel and balance of mine.  I bought mine with a chromed bore and reduced profile from Adco.

the only negitive is that the rra is 4140.. but it won't matter to a normal user

Kick's Ass!!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's not a midlength, is it?

I really love the way they look and feel.  I am a fan of the longer sight radius.

I just ordered a new barrell from Rock River and can't wait to install that mid-length soon!
