Specs of build:
stripped no logo palmetto state armory lower
Spikes lower parts kit, spikes buffer tube assembly with a BCM H2 buffer
Upper aero precision stripped with Anderson upper receiver build kit
Tool craft BCG w/ tool craft 158 bolt MP tested
Spikes carbine gas tube and roll pin

UTG fixed rear sight
Aimpoint ACO red dot
Total cost of build with Aimpoint $880
Places used for parts:
DS Arms, PSA, Primary Arms, Aim surplus, right to bear arms LLC
Review:
5 mag dumps = no problems and no failures
877 rounds fired no failures no issues
Mags used: OKAY GI 30 round grey finish magazines
Iron sight groups at 100 yards with american eagle 5.56 62 grain 3.5 inches (off hand bench rest)
Red dot at 100 Yards with american eagle 5.56 62 grain 1.30 inches (2moa dot) (using a bench vise rest)

I did not experience any over gas or under gas issues. No blow back to the face even with a standard mil spec spikes charging handle. Feed perfect every time, I pulled the mil spec spikes trigger.
I was very surprised at how well this barrel performed and how well the gas port was drilled at a price tag of $135. It surpassed my BCM and Daniel defense barrels . The front sight post was perfectly aligned. I did not have to do any windage adjustments at all on the irons.

Thanks for the review! I've always wondered how good dsa barrels were, but not too many reviews out there.

+1

This barrel is awesome. Got mine new off EE for 130 shipped years back. Great shooter.

$135 new now. And in stock (for now).

My first is 1/9" twist.  Never an issue. Steel case, brass, hardly ever clean it. Great bbl. Close to 2500 rds now.
The spare I ordered is 1/7" twist, I am sure it is every bit as good. Having a spare never hurt anybody. And I want to try some 75 and 77 grain loads.

Spares just turn into new rifles :)
Wish they made a 10.5 variation.  I would pick one up!

Agreed man. It's happened more than twice here.

And plus one on the 10.5,  they have an 11" CLd/fsb, but heavy profile. Not doing much for me.

Definitely not interested in the heavy profile.
If i had a decent lathe I'd try to cut my own down to 10.5 lol
