Saw a nice 9mm class 3 10 inches with a CAR stock today. It was a Colt. I didn't look close at the markings. Anyone have history of these? Maybe start a sticky thread about these?

A 9mm sticky would be cool

I do believe this was it. Shop guy said it wasn't for sale but showed it to me anyway. Like this

NDS used to sell a nice matching 635 upper and lower.

I still like the 10 inch barrel version better.

Yeah, I know. But by the time I get a tax stamp, and the DOE kit from Liemohn, we're looking at close to 3 times what that Brownell's bbl costs. And I would like some accuracy...  Shorties are cool, that is what I planned on. So, what says the hive?

You could always skip the tax stamp and go with a pistol!

. . . some of us don't even have the option . . .

Not a bad option since this model is a "spray and pray", close in kind of weapon where "Minute of Barn Side" is acceptable accuracy!

Good looking builds everybody!

Ok, there you go. That's why the thread is called shorties and pistols.

Am I am sick weirdo because I would like one of these in 5.56?

Like the look but not the 9mm.

Seems like it would be a cheaper build too. No extra bolt or block.

Just an AR pistol barrel and a fabricated front sight and handguard.

Just thinking like I had money to burn. Maybe I'll infect someone else and THEY will build one!

Oh, there is no question you are a sick weirdo. But you are surrounded by a bunch of other sick weirdos.

This is Postino's gun. I'm sure he wouldn't mind some company in the 5.56 DOE ward.

Only thing I'm not sure of, is how it cycles. The DOE FSB isn't a gas block, and the 9mm operates on blowback. I'm not sure if Postino managed to port his sight and install a gas tube, or if he installed a low-pro block under the guards.

I KNEW someone had probably done it before!

Don't know about the gas block but you can see the gas tube plain as day.

Pretty awesome peashooter!

MUST RESIST!

Whatever happened to Postino? He always had some cool stuff he'd whip up in the shop.
