1) I just purchased a stock AR.  I have a 16.0 barrell without front sight to install & I wish to change the forend.  I was considering either the YHM or Troy.  What foreend do you folks consider better ( $120 vs $285 )

2) is anyone using an extended bolt release.  What do youfolks think of them

Thank You for your time

If the Troy is within your budget, buy the troy. It is 2 piece FF which makes it easier to install and remove (for cleaning the barrel). Plus, it will give you a monolithic look with its uninterrupted rail. IMO.

Sorry. No experiences with it. I find no inherent need for one.
