Hello.

A while back, there was a post containing two photos of SDM-Rs in use in Iraq. I'm wondering if anyone still had the link, or found some similar photos.

Actually, any photos of the SDM-R would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance. This new layout is pretty nice.

Did a little searching and Googling. Somewhat fruitless. 56k warning on links.

I assume with no mag she's snapping in, but then I see there is no rear sight either.  Hmmmmm.

Probably just posing; she's got her finger on the trigger. They're supposed to have Matechs, no?

Isn't the SDM role an Infantry i.e. no women thing?

Awesome, thanks!

I was just about to ask a member to do a comprehensive search. her
Found another when looking at red's. It was posted here before, also:

Yeah, it looked like a grip and grin show.  No TA50, no mag, no sight, no k-pot on a firing line, etc.

Maybe by doctrine, but my bro in Iraq has got several females that are doing combat arms jobs.  His SDMRs are loaned out to whoever has the best results with them, regardless of if they are male or female.  Same story with the limited number of optics they have.

CENTCOM_Survivor:

That looks like an SPR on the left and an M4 on the right. SF doesn't use SDM-Rs, AFAIK. I also don't think the SDM-R concept was yet built and deployed when the photo was taken (2001). Still, good photo.

Slu54, I was holding off on posting these because I was hopeing that someone might post some more pics of the SDM-R.  I think these are the pics that you were talking about, but I didn't save all the pics, only five of them, seems like there were about 7 or 8.  One sexy-ass rifle!  Enjoy!

That's the jackpot! Thanks for digging those out.

Lookin pretty expensive though, especially with that ACOG and that KAC 2-stage.
