I am trying to take a Colt post ban barrel off my upper. Past experience has shown that the Colt factory assembled barrels are tighter than $hit. Is an action block the only way to go? I have an armorers wrench. Can I hammer on it so that the impacts will break the barrel loose? Do they use lock tite at the factory. I thought 80 ftlbs was the max torque when assembling the barrel. This factory barrel feels like its a lot more than 80 ftlbs. Any remarks, insights, been there done thats, comments, bs? I have vise blocks but they are about as useful as you know whats on a bull.
Any help would be appreciated.

I just removed a Colt barrel from one of my Colt uppers a couple of days ago. No different than any other barrel. Get an action block, vise and armorers wrench and you are good to go. I did not find any locktite on the barrel nut or upper reciever.
