Any help would be greatly appreciated...

I saw a thread a while back about the removal of a RRA brake to permit the installation of a one piece handguard.  One post mentioned freezing the barrel and slowly warming it up and using a puller or rubber malet to removie the brake (as if the brake was pressed on).  I've used the search function but can only go back 30 days and failed to find the thread again.  I've read other threads that say the brake must be cut off because it is welded/pinned on the barrel.  Does anybody have any experience removing their brake or know of somehow to find the old thread?  Thanks in advance.

Edited - Yes, it is the fake flash hider.
