I want to swap the old teardrop forward assist with a round one on one of my older bushmast uppers.  Does anyone have a link to detailed instructions as to how to do this?

Nothing detailed to it to me. Just use a punch to drive out the roll pin and it falls out. Install the new one by pushing it in and holding it while driving the roll pin back in.
