I'm wanting to reload ammo that is as close as possible to M193 specifications.  I read in the Ammo FAQ that H335 powder is roughly equivalent to the Olin Ball WC844 that is currently used by Lake City.  What brand of 55 gr FMJBT would you recommend as an equivalent?  Also, what primer what would be the best?  I'm currently using CCI for my other ammo.

I'm using the Winchester 55 FMJ that I got in bulk from Midway. CCI primers should work fine in the .223 also. I use the CCI #41 primers for 5.56. Look through here for more.

Get ahold of Pat McDonald at Patsreloading.com and actually load WC-844 and military components rather cheaply.

Just work up to the final load and PAY ATTENTION to what the pressure signs are telling you.

Best of luck!
