I have read most of the posts on Red dot sights and only one mention of an older Hi-Lux. a recent copy of Firearms News had an article on the MM-2 and the top brands and do any guys on here have any experience with the Hi-Lux MM-2....for the money it seems like it should be pretty good. Just no mention of it on here?

The Firearm News, formerly aka. The Shotgun News, runs articles that are more advertising than substance IMO. I don't buy made in china crap if I can avoid it. I don't trust it to last or to hold zero.

I have no first hand experience with that particular product, but I can tell you that I have tried to help at least 6 people who were having problems with new or nearly new Chinese scopes that could not stay on target. Most of the "free scopes" being offered in rifle package deals fall under this category and the best thing to do is to take it off before you waste any ammo trying to get on target.

One of these scopes was a very high magnification "Target Model" and it never worked out-of-the box. Buyer beware.

Its probably holosun rebranded, like most everything else lately.

I don't have anything against budget red dots for plinking and range toys.  Some of them are quite innovative.  When limited to that role they can be a lot of fun.

But, as stated above, if you are going to use a red dot for personal defense of self or loved ones, you need to save up and get something that is military or law enforcement duty grade and have the peace of mind of knowing that it has been really put through the ringer and is highly likely to not take a crap on you with your life or someone else's on the line.

Probably at the same quality level as the PA and Holosun models.  Looks identical.  Probably comes from the same factory.  I've got a few of the PA and one Holosun RDS and they work just fine.  One is fairly old and has tons of ammo under it on an AR.
