I'm looking for a reasonably priced tactical type scope for my AR15. While I know you get what you pay for, what is the best buy for the money?

I'll be shooting out to 200 yds. but am more interested in 100 yds. I don't want junk but I can't afford a Leupold Tac scope either.

thanks for your help

I just bought a Leupold Vari-X III 2.5-8 x 36 and I love it. It's very light and compact and the range is perfect for the capabilities of the general purpose AR.

Weaver Tactical in 4.5-14X44 is, IMO the best scope for the money at $500 from SWFA.

I know this will get me flamed (if not possibly banned) but buy yourself something chep for now and start saving up for something better when you can afford it. I bought one of those $50.00 NcStar lighted scopes on eBay and it worked fine. I never take it off the carryhandle mount, so I can't tell you about holding zero. What I can tell you is that I shoot ragged holes at the range at 50 yds with it. for more reasonable equipment, check here. These are "display" items, I think, and significantly discounted. http://www.samplelist.com
