I know they say put the 300Meter line on the 25meter bullseye to sight in, but has anyone found the exact 25M/300stadia zero?

When I zero an m4 at 25M it generally seems to shoot low on 300M silouettes (resulting in shoulder high hold to get center ass hits).  In light of that I would guess dead on at 25m is not going to result in a perfect 300m zero.  I have never done it with an ACOG and won't be able to verify POI at 300, so it would be nice to have a closer to accurate zero from square one (the only square I have).

Thanks for any imput you have.

I do believe the ACOG NSN is supposed to be sighted in with 62g M855 ammo
if you use a different ammo it wont be exactly POA/POI at 300M

I own one and sighted in at 25M and fine tuned at 100 with M855 IMI ammo

The question is about getting a true  300m zero at 25meters.

The ammo will be issue M855, however my experience has been dead zero at 25meters leaves an M4 approx 7-10 inches low at 300meters .

I say approx because it is a guess.  a 7-10in difference at 300 is a 14-20inch difference at 600meters.  That's quite a bit.

If you are in the military you will know how difficult it is to get a chance to zero past 25meters.

Nope I'm not at Benning, I have zeroed there before but at an Army standard 25M M-16/M4 zero range-- as far as I know everyone but snipers zero weapons at 25m and less. (SAW's and 240's are at approx 10m), then fine tuned on silouettes at 400m (basically walk them in till the silouettes fall, still not a real dead nuts zero)

I guess I might just put the 300M crosshair dead center at 25m and raise it three clicks (3 inches at 300m and split the difference).  Maybe that way I'll be within 6inches at 600M?

I found this link with target provided. It is the same target that comes with TA01 NSN scope.  I got a print out of the target and will try this method out next week at the range.

Another interesting link I found of a member at Maryland AR15 shot 50 yrds with Winchester Q3131A using TA01 NSN
