Which would you prefer?  Pay a little extra for a full noveske upper, or this build using several brands.

Full Noveske N4 light carbine 14.5"

or

Daniel Defense 10" Lite Rail/handguard
VLTOR upper w/ forward assist
Young phosphate bolt carrier
CMMG 14.5" 1:7 (no M203 notches)

I would save about $200-300 if I built the complete upper listed above, rather than going with Noveske.  I would also have a slightly lighter rifle, given the railing.

Can the CMMG barrel be compared to that of a Noveske N4 light? Both have a 1:7 twist.

Noveske Pros:
* Great barrel
* Matched with my noveske lower
* Comes assembled, only 1 place to deal with/order from

Noveske Cons:
* heavier rails
* more expensive

For only 200-300 more you get a better barrel steel with thicker chrome lining and a good reputation or accuracy. Plus you  will have a matching rifle. I would go all Noveske if I could.

It is your money however, but the Noveske is better.

Can't go wrong with the Noveske.
