I am looking for a complete upper. I found one on Ranger website that seems good. I
Wrote the for info on the upper and they said the upper was a Stag and the barrel is a E R Shaw. Anyone knows anything about Shaw barrels? Seem Stag is good from what I hear. Any thought as to this setup? This will be my first buget build...thanks

Which one exactly?
What is your end cost going to be?

Just some thoughts -

Never Heard of them.
Mass Produced normal barrels... nothing special.
No real address - I'm not giving my money to a PO Box.

Eh... I would rather buy from an established dealer who is a sponsor on this site... keep it in the family, don't be the guinea pig when you can get plenty of good deals here.

WATCH OUT!  My one experience with Ranger Sales was horrible.  I ordered a hand guard and waited ... and waited ... and waited.  I tried e-mails and phone calls.  No response to e-mails and their voice mail was always full.  After EIGHT WEEKS I got an e-mail back saying that the hand guard was out of stock and I should re-order in two weeks.  NOT!!!

I found what I was looking for elsewhere.

Thanks guys. I did not even notice the PO box address. I think I'll stick with more reputable companies. There seems to be a lot of places to shop with a wide price range. I was tring to keep this first one in the 600 range but I may have to sneek alittle more past the ole lady to get one worth having. My wife ask me every time I buy a new gun "Why do YOUR guns cost so much?". I tell her "Same reason you cost so much,  I don't buy junk. I want them to perform well when needed and for. them to last". She smiles and says ok.

I've bought from Ranger Sales without any problems.  They had an upper receiver I wanted for a lot less than anyone else, and they got it to me pretty fast.  I'd buy from them again.

Save your money for quality, If you want quality for less just check out the equipment exchange. Members usually don't try to rip each other off. If there is a rifle worth having, it is worth waiting and saving patiently for. BCM has quality uppers for good prices and does good business. There are plenty of others.
