Since nobody wants to divulge any info on the mysterious Larue QD TD VFG...

www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=2&f=219&t=156083

...is there any way to get a section of rail (to mount a TD VFG to) that will fit on a LT-171 QD?

Thx for any input or ideas.

Easy but expensive way:

Buy ARMS #17DR. Buy LT-170. Replace QD portion on ARMS #17DR with LT-170.

Total cost... $160 + cost of TD VFG. Say $220 total.

Ouch.

thx - it was actually a pic of one of your SBRs that got me asking.  i noticed that you had a stubby VFG on a ARMS mount.  i was hoping that there was another way.  i might investigate using a rail blank and trying to machine it down.
