Guys,
That's the old method (stopped about five months ago). It was a three character setup directly over the chamber. First Character: Nor W...NATO or Wylde chamber Second Character: 8 or 9...twist Third Character: C, A, or S...Chrome-lined moly, Alloy (moly), or Stainless Now we just use our barrel number, in the same location. A 212 there would now be an AR0212, which is a chrome-lined mid-length. Hope that helps. Steve/RRA |

FWIW- I like the old method better- it follows the BM/Colt markings w "universal coding" for twist and barrel type. The new RRA method, though more effective for RRA, makes it more difficult to ID a RRA barrel. One would have to memorize the RRA barrel product line of part#s or keep a list handy. Just my $0.02 |
